    i think i am okay now, but it was kinda hard.

Laughing about how much i cry as of late. and at our dinner guests kiddos (ages 3 and 6)
                let me just throw out one of the many hilarious phrases de la 3 year old: "mommy did you  shave your penis"? then mom proceeds to say "FYI guys, I don't have a penis". What in the world? little boys are weird, but funny!

here are some random q's i am answering b/c i like to fill in forms.

1. what's on your nightstand?
-i don't have room for a nightstand, so we are (still) using the headboard my aunt (lent or gave) me when i was a jr. in college. and it has a shelf.
so on that i have:
a lamp (it was 2, but cam knocked one off and broke it),
some books,
a pen,
some massage oil i use for lotion b/c denver is so dry,
some chapstick,
floss,
a magazine,
i think that's it.

2. where do you watch tv?
well, we don't have cable, or really any television, but we have a tv/monitor that dad gave us.
so we have it in the basement, which we recently started utilizing. and we watch hulu and netflix all the time. 24 season 3 is like our crack.

3. do you do a budget?
yes and no. we were amazing at a budget for the first 3 years. and then i don't know what happened. so we are re-vamping and using mint.com. i will let you know. i have been working my butt off since july with a million extra shifts, but its like where's the money. so we are getting strict and crazy and gonna be billionaires soon.

4. when are you having babies?
soon i hope. cam has 2.5 years left of school, and we are talking seriously about it now. but want him to be a dr. so i don't have to work full time. we don't want to have to use daycare. plus sus and i have been talking about meeting up in morocco or egypt in sept 2011 and i don't want to be pregos there. so soon my friends soon. i promise, youll be some of the first to know.

5. what famous person would you be bff with?
michael cera, jennifer garner, reese witherspoon, ellen

6. what is something you wish you could do that doesn't really seem like a possibility?
i would love to be a vet or vet tech or an animal daycare person...already have a ft job
a painting artist... i just don't think my brain works that way
designing anthro windows...hello... how can i do this please
i want to be on project runway, but i don't even know how to sew a dress/pant/jacket
i want to wear high heels all the time... but i tend to fall and my legs feel like jello
travel ALL THE TIME. for some reason, cam HATES to travel. i mean hates. so it's like twisting his arm to even go to a wedding that he's in... i know bizarre.

7. coupons?
ummm, yes please. i went through a phase where i onlybought w/ coupons, then i went thru a phase (albeit a ridiculous one) that i only shopped at whole foods, and now i am back to a more normal phase of: use coupons when i can, but cook from scratch.
so these websites i have found useful : the do the dirty work for me, and then i just do what they say:

for example:
they have a link for $1 off reach dental floss, then showed where it was on sale for $1, making it free. i got coffemate creamer on sale for $0.27 at king soopers. AND organic coconut milk from WF for $0.44 (usually $2). Anyway, it's fun to check out, and then you also don't have to hunt on your own, AND you only have to get the things you would use. AND they show lots of online freebies/cheap deals, and they always have a lot of baby things. So.... there ya go!!!

8. workout?
i like to, and it makes me feel good, but i am not motivated at all.
i likethe 30 day shred and jillian michaels trouble zones.

pretty much a lot of crap.

but i feel like i dont have time

(valuable time for me)

to waste with phone calls and having my stuff lay around the house.

1. from Leslie about only having 1 tv in the basement:
-is seemed odd to me not to have a tv at first, esp no cable.
but a lot of people in CO a. don't have one b. dont have cable
so 3 years ago, we canceled cable, and when we moved here, put it in the basement.
it seemed best for the space, and we didn't want to watch it anyway.
i get my news facts from NPR and work, my most watched shows from hulu,
and rent movies/shows from netflix.

a. i got a composter with some of our tax return money, and it is so awesome.
i think i am too lazy to do one in the backyard... so this works perfectly!
some of my friends are even saving stuff to compost for me :)
b. i realized the other day we have 2 credit cards, which is so dumb. we don't even use one
of them, the last time we used it was in may 2008. so i decided to call and cancel it.
let's just say, capital one wants the word to go into debt. they haggled me the whole time.
and no matter what i said she tried to get me to keep it. and then when i finally said
"I understand ou have to ask me all this stuff and try to convince me to keep my
account, but you don't have to, b/c i just want to cose my acct." she got sooooo rude.
we are keeping our REI card, b/c we get a better dividend at the end of the year; which
= more free money to spend wherever or at REI. I got a pair of shoes last year ;).
c. the boys: cameron, kimel, steve, and stephen are going snowshoeing, then camping,
without a tent, making a snow cave, saturday to sunday. they are crazy.
d. sus is coming in 1 week!!!!
e. i have been perusing craigslist for patio furniture for our garden fiascos this summer; and
for a kitchenaid mixer, hopefully these people will email back today!

i think she thinks i am a student (going to DU for classes, b/c i get a crazy cheap disocunt since
cam is a student there), but oh well. and some guy's shoulder popped out of socket in class
today and i did NOT say anything about being a nurse. A: i was in crow position for 12 seconds
B: he wasnt gonna die.
9. addicted to Lost. i re-watched seasons 1&2, and am starting 3&4 and can hopefully watch
them all before the 21st, doubtful, but i will try.
10. i don't want to go to work tomorrow, but i am ready for it, after 5 days off.
11. i made some baby presents today!
12. i highly reccommend: The Walmart Effect, and I am sending it to my mother in law!

Random In The Life Of Liz

But the night before i made naan and hummus and eggplant/onions

so i re-used the eggplant mixture and put oregano (fresh) on top!

This was not really what I had in mind making a scone

but i kinda winged it with sus's help

but instead of lightly spreading jam in the middle

i doused it, chalk full of blackberry jam

which made it more like a cobbler

which wasn't bad, just not what i had in mind

6. movies i have watched in the past 2 days:

The Perfect Witness: SUCKED scary but made me feel gross

a story about a college film student who stalks this serial killer and then ends up

doing a documentary about his serial killings.... sounds good, but nope.

Becoming Jane: Okay, but really hard to get into

A story about Jane Austen and her life growing up (really about from 20-60 years old)

Across the Universe: just really bad minus how great the Beatles songs were re-done

A musical using all Beatles songs. Story line: some English kid comes to NY and makes

random friends and they all live together and he (Jude) falls in love with (Lucy) and

blah blah blah. I just couldn't get into this either.

Michael Clayton: weird weird weird... don't really know why why why George Cloony picked

this script. It was about a lawyer that ends up stumbling upon this 16 year old lawsuit

pertinant piece of info and was gonna be the hero (kinda reminded me of Erin

Brockovich) but he gets followed by the other side of the lawsuit people. Sounds good,

just a bad execution of the story.

Five People You Meet in Heaven: first off, didn't read the book, may have been my first

mistake. But it was weird and boring.

Story of old man carnival maitenence man that dies and his life in heaven. He meets 5

people that were significant in his life and comes to peace with them.

Tuesdays with Morrie: love love love love it!!!! Did read the book.

Story of a very busy sports writer that sees his old buddy college prof on the news, and

he is dying. He ends up spending every Tuesday with his until he dies, learning very

valuable lessons about life, love, and death. LOVED IT!

I know it looks like a lot of movies, but I had to turn off Across the Univ and 5 people you meet

in heaven, b/c they were sooooo boring.

7. I am planning some crafts this afternoon.

8. I am still doing my bi-weekly workout and even got some 8lb weights to lift so my awesomely huge muscles!

9. Sus's sister had surgery yesterday: read up on it!

Hello my blogging friends. Sorry no pics, but as a shout out to Lo, I will make a list!

1. filed my tax return today, and since we're poor now, we'll be rich(er) in February, and very very very much closer to getting out of cc debt!!!!
2. i started watching the 3rd season of Lost (i watched 1&2 religiously), my friend Julie pretty much forced me to :)
3. That very same friend Julie is prego!!!! She found out on Friday night, after she called me to see if I started my period (off birth control for the ole blood pressure). we stopped at the same time, but hers was for a baby. Anyways, she was worried, so i told her to take a test, and we both just KNEW she wasnt gonna be pregnant. But the next morning when we were having breakfast.... what do ya know.... SHE'S PREGGS! I think it musta taken her one time, b/c seriously, off bc for like 1 day.
4. my friend odette has to get a root canal wed (odette, julie, and i have a candy loving problem... kinda like my lovely friend laura)(but unlike laura we all paid our dues with 8 millions cavities).
5. My friend wes had surgery today (pray for him)... taking his whole colon out :(.
6. my sister & bro in law might come here in may!!!!!
7. cameron's sick, and he got me sick (but mine isn't as bad)... but he hasn't really slept in 4 days. he sounds like he smoked 30 packs per day for 30 years. gross.
8. i went to target to get some onsies (sp?) and so much baby stuff was on clearance... and i stocked up for babies coming soon. You should make a run to target... some outfits and blankets were $1-3, and there was complete bedding sets for $17 (normally $79). WOW!
9. today is my fourth day off out of 5... then i go back for three in a row.
10. i am really excited about that tax return.
11. we looked at houses (long story about us thinking we could buy a repo'd house for $150 b/c of some stupid info-mercial... then looked into it and thought it could still be way cheap at like $150,000)(then our dreams were crushed when friend/old real estate chick told us that wasn't really the real price) and houses in denver are soooooooo freaking $$$$$$$$$$$$$. A 2bd 1bath that isn't really soooo amazing was $375,000, with a monthly morg of $2600. Cameron and I almost crapped out pants. Soooooo, our new plan is to rent a house off craig's list this summer. so he can bike to DU (hopefully!!!) and i can still be under 3 miles away from work. Anyways, there are great houses for rent on craigs list and still in our price range (not $2600/month).
12. i got new glasses (i don't know if i wrote that in a previous post) but i should get them tomorrow and i cant wait!!!!! (purple and rectangular)(picture coming soon).
13. i am hanging out with my friend Erin tomorrow. She actually went on the same backpacking trip to CO as i did when i was a soph in HS with Dwight Mission. She's from Sallisaw. But anyways we have mutual friends here, and recognized each other but couldnt place it... and what do ya know... soooo weird!!!!!!!!!!
14. Sus is doing a craft show thingy, and hopefully she will post all of her amazing creations!!!!
15. sus needs to give me some of those creations.
16. i think i will do crafts tonight and tomorrow, since i am done with taxes... SUCKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS :)

1. I have sent all my christmas gifts out besides one
2. all the presents are wrapped and under the tree
3. i got my hair cut today and it's cute
4. i spent some bday money at whole foods and got:
-alba skin care items
-choc. truffles
- cinn/sugar chips with sweet sip
- a free 5 min massage
- kambucha tea: guava (best kind so far)
- tomato basil soup that was so good
- cameron's fav grind in the store honey nut peanut butter (for him)
5. I spent more bday money at bbw:
- hand soap for bathroom
- foot and hand cream (hardcore softening)
6. and some more getting 2 candles at yankee candle store
7. i finished knitting a scarf in cute yarn
8. i am obsessed with america's next top model
9. tonight is a new House
10. at whole foods i saw the diapers Lo was talking about that have an outer part, and there is a special inner part you can flush/toss/put in compost... and it only takes 50-150 days to decompose (plastic diapers take at least 500 years.... boo): it was $24 for the starter pack of 2 diapers and 5-10 liners... and the 40 pack liner set was $15... not bad for less poo clean up)
Makes me wanna use those?!?!??!?!?
11. it's 65 degrees here?!?!?!
12. I am getting a dove holding an olive branch tattood on my left foot the 15th!!! My friend Shellie is coming and she designed a cross for her inner arm!

Well, nothing much to say:

1. 12 more days until my bday!
2. 12 more days til mom and david come!
3. 4 more days til i celebrate with my friends at the irish hound
4. cameron is taking midterms this week, boo
5. i got to run some errands i should have done a long time ago today, and it felt good
6. sunday cam and i did the kid's ministry at church, and i didnt kill anyone
7. it was the denver marathon sunday also, and it was very exciting, but 38 degrees and raining. i guess during the chicago marathon a few weeks ago it normally is 40 degrees, but it was 88 and 1 person died and 400 went to the hospital.... and they canceled the race 1/2-way thru.... so that WAS the qualifier for the boston marathon, but then after all that, the denver marathon became the qualifier for the boston marathon. so before that happened, 10,000 people were signed up, after, it was like a billion. anyway downtown was crazy, and a lot of our friends ran in the relay part!!! it was cool!
8. today it is 50 degrees and i love it!
9. there was a bee on our screen door yesterday and it was frozen on there, i tapped it several times and it did not move.... this afternoon, he was gone... did he thaw? or fall off???
10. i went to see into the wild last week, and it was soooooo good! but long 2.5 hours
11. sus and chris are living with tyler boren in a cute place in edmond right by 1st pres!!! yeah for them living in a place they love!!!!

13. cam has a lot of cool clients that are working his tail off
14. i feel like i have more time to do stuff
15. i cleaned the office pretty good today
16. i get my hair cut friday! finally!
17. i am jealous b/c my sis got to hang out with my cousins lo and lane (see lane's blog about her being famous)
