the mountains

hazel and i woke up one morning and decided to take a drive to see

the leaves changing colors and have a picnic ;)

 seriously... a rock painted like a pig!

 then after naptime, it was gorgeous outside

so we headed to wash park

still in lawrence

while we were at alysons house,

gabe caught a katydid

hazel held it ;)

i seriously don't know what was happening here

on the way home hazel was coloring

and i look back and there is marker ALL OVER her face and arms.

great.

to lawrence we go

hazel and i drove to lawrence for our second time.

it was actually really really good.

hazel barely slept but was not bad at all.

we stopped 2 times for food and a break.

hazel turns 2!!!!

mom & david came into town to help hazel celebrate her bday!

 we took hazel to the zoo on her actual bday...even though it was rainy and gross.
