mother's day 2013

well, as you can see, bribery works all the time!

i woke up (later than normal:))

cameron cooked french toast and bacon and coffee

and we had a great super filling breakfast!

i got a log that you soak in water and it grows shitake mushrooms!

then hazel and i headed to church, and i volunteered in her sunday school class.

they were short several volunteers, and cam was already going to work,

so why not?

on our way home, we picked up some veggies to plant.

i put H down for a nap, and spent time gardening.

sus and i got to talk for almost an hour while i did that!

then when H woke up, i finished planting,

and we headed to HD to pick up

more plants that weren't available at the garden patch.

we splurged and got a small rose bush and a peony plant!

she gave little party favors when you visited.

It's only fitting for Shellie to make something

cute after she labors forever.

place soil pellet in bowl. add 1/6 cup warm water.

eggplant, squash, onions, rosemary, and basil

then put it on the pizza with olive oil

and added some cheese!

how does my garden grow?

planted my seeds last monday-

sunday (almost a week of growing) this is how big they were!!

then today (8 days after planting)

here they are

the ones going crazy are:

lettuce, spinach, sugar snap peas, and broccoli

i love them so :)

two lips or four lips?

i dont know what the striped leaves mean, but i bet they will be pretty!!

i hope this stupid snow doesn't kill them.

but there are a lot

(i planted like 80 or something from a bag from costco in the fall)

ohhh i can't wait!!!
