Wanna save $300+ ???

Saturday Mom and David were on
their way thru CO to Seattle
on their annual camping trip.
They stayed the night and
left Sunday morning.
We ate Mountain Sun burgers
(Lane: they have a place in Denver
called the Vine and it's the
same thing. But, they are taking away
Raspberry Wheat and making it
Blackberry wheat (tasty) b/c of
the rasp. crop)
Then we walked around DU
campus and sat on the porch!

David, Mom, Schnooze, Liz, Cam
On campus, near the art building,
they have these lips all over, and
during the day they talk to you.
Creepy.

on these poles are also lips. weird.

the plumber, see story on last post.
apparently we had like a million

roots all over the place

thank goodness we rent,

it woulda been $500. BAH!

we got water capabilities back at 3pm sunday.

-

WANNA SAVE $300+?

drive around your 'hood and look for

free stuff on the side of the road

make a quick u-turn like someone

is chasing you.

then jump outa the car so fast, and

check out the goods.

*this was on our way to church and very much a suprise trip for us.

we found 2 rugs for the living/dining room

and they were in really great condition

so we threw them in the honda.

items needed:

2. sprinkle, then vaccuum
3. clean rug!!!!!
4. place awesome new free rugs in place

there was only like stain, and i put that part under the table so noone can see. sucka! i mean what a great find! i think these would have been at least $150 a piece. and some people are freaked out about used "free" items. but honestly, there were no fleas or weird stains, and they weren't smelly. so what the heck. until we can become rich, or get a rug for a christmas present, these will have to do :). They match really well and honestly look great!

it has raquetball courts and an awesome gym with a pool
they have a hockey team, bball team, and other teams that i dont know
if we move closer there, it's still only 5 miles away from our house now

it's for the interviewees (is that a word?) for the interview tomorrow
also current phd students will be there

3. i ironed his suit. did i mention the weird crotch triangle in his pants?
well the tailor kind of made it go away, but not 100%
so i tried to iron it out.... it got a little better
let's just hope no one is staring at his crotch.
or maybe that's a good thing, and it will be some dorky lady professor that
lets him in b/c she is crushing on him???
4. i might get to come to okla feb29-march2
i have 8 days off in a row and that is balltastic.
hopefully someone will buy me a ticket

new years - a bit late i know

A couple of things first:
If you haven't, view Leslie in sanfran's blog on the right:
She is so crafty!!!!
Second: cam got his first interview at University of Denver (set in mid feb)
It's a private fancy schmancy school in Denver, 5 minles away from our house,
the closest school he's applied to. This will be for his psyD, not phD, same thing though, but with more research based, i think.
Third: i like to organize.
This is new year's eve at our house, the second annual Cannon Ball?!?!?! that sounds cool right?

Julie, Liz, Odette, Sara
Liz and O

The boys doing car bombs
Andy, Tim, Cam, Steve

We had lots of food, but this pic is of lonely Buddy the Beagle...
I don't know what he was doing there, but it was funny :)

Liz and Bethany ( i stole her scarf)

Not drunk, just silly....
The bearded Trio
Cam, Andy, Steve

mean faces
So I like to organize as you can see below. i failed to take before pics, but it doesn't matter, but picture the closet in 27 Dresses (with katherine Heigl) or the classic overstuffed closet on tv. the after pictures are all that matter.

this is the "outdoors closet"
there is now space on the floor, since we hung the bike in the office, see below.
we've got: poles, 3 backpacks, camping stove, propane, raquetball stuff, tennis stuff, snowshoes, 2 tents, 2 sleeping bags, 2 sleeping pads, a sled, a shovel, and who knows what else.

Handy place for the shovel eh?
those hooks by the way were in the dollar bins at target
( i think 4 were $2.50 though), but so handy!
our snowshoes, and the hummingbird feeder mom and david got us :)

the $14 shelf thingy that i got at target, it's so awesome and holds 250lbs
yes in that red container there is gasoline, and there is a bottle of lighter fluid behind it, and 3 bottles of propane under it, dangerous i know, but where are we supposed to keep it?
the tents, sleeping bags, fuel, and stove

where we hung the road bike

in october we got this stand for the mountain bikes,
they were originally in our bedroom, so romantic i know.
seriously they were there since july 2006
They always say not to have a tv in your bedroom, and we didn't
we just had 2 mountain bikes?!?!?!?!

I also organized the cabinet under the sink and our bedroom closet.
I am giving away a lot of clothing and shoes.
I am proud of myself... i am like a crazy woman!!!
