Laughing: at Cameron this morning, came into the room, and had his computer in tow, and he can type something and a robotic type voice reads it, he uses it for school, but instead he comes in and types into it and it says "i am a robot and i can't help what my programmer does to me, i can only say what he types b/c i have no brain, i think you are a fartknocker.... S-H-U-T-U-PPPPPPPPPPPPPPP (but it spells all that out so it is say pee pee pee)" Anyways, i tried not to laugh at all the things he was making it say, but i couldnt help it.

Reading: John Grisham's The Innocent Man, i like it so far. Set in Ada, OK

Eating: Starbucks Sumatra Coffee donated by Wes Gentry with Pumkin Spice creamer, and a homemade by the due in 2 days Julie Holly biscotti.

Wanting: to go shopping for lots of cool stuff, but realizing that I can't. Also wanting to finish the
edges of the quilt. Wanting to clean the house. Wanting to decorate for the baby
shower I am hosting. Wanting to get everything ready for that.

Avoiding: cleaning the house and brushing my teeth.

Worrying: trying not to but: about the baby shower and making everything for it,
and wanting to impress people at work with how cute my house is and how
great the shower is. i sm sure it will be fine, but still.

Starting: to get stressed about all the things i have to do today, so i better go do them. but
also starting to thank God that I only have to work 3 days this week!! Yeah for
no more bonus days at work for awhile!!!!!

QUESTION: if you have had a baby shower thrown for you, or been to one:
what is the best or worst thing about it,
what games did you like/dislike
what food did you enjoy/not-so-much
were there children, and was it good or bad
what kind of cake (i am making carrot??)
what kind of drinks... punch?

new exciting things

Hello my blogging friends. Sorry no pics, but as a shout out to Lo, I will make a list!

1. filed my tax return today, and since we're poor now, we'll be rich(er) in February, and very very very much closer to getting out of cc debt!!!!
2. i started watching the 3rd season of Lost (i watched 1&2 religiously), my friend Julie pretty much forced me to :)
3. That very same friend Julie is prego!!!! She found out on Friday night, after she called me to see if I started my period (off birth control for the ole blood pressure). we stopped at the same time, but hers was for a baby. Anyways, she was worried, so i told her to take a test, and we both just KNEW she wasnt gonna be pregnant. But the next morning when we were having breakfast.... what do ya know.... SHE'S PREGGS! I think it musta taken her one time, b/c seriously, off bc for like 1 day.
4. my friend odette has to get a root canal wed (odette, julie, and i have a candy loving problem... kinda like my lovely friend laura)(but unlike laura we all paid our dues with 8 millions cavities).
5. My friend wes had surgery today (pray for him)... taking his whole colon out :(.
6. my sister & bro in law might come here in may!!!!!
7. cameron's sick, and he got me sick (but mine isn't as bad)... but he hasn't really slept in 4 days. he sounds like he smoked 30 packs per day for 30 years. gross.
8. i went to target to get some onsies (sp?) and so much baby stuff was on clearance... and i stocked up for babies coming soon. You should make a run to target... some outfits and blankets were $1-3, and there was complete bedding sets for $17 (normally $79). WOW!
9. today is my fourth day off out of 5... then i go back for three in a row.
10. i am really excited about that tax return.
11. we looked at houses (long story about us thinking we could buy a repo'd house for $150 b/c of some stupid info-mercial... then looked into it and thought it could still be way cheap at like $150,000)(then our dreams were crushed when friend/old real estate chick told us that wasn't really the real price) and houses in denver are soooooooo freaking $$$$$$$$$$$$$. A 2bd 1bath that isn't really soooo amazing was $375,000, with a monthly morg of $2600. Cameron and I almost crapped out pants. Soooooo, our new plan is to rent a house off craig's list this summer. so he can bike to DU (hopefully!!!) and i can still be under 3 miles away from work. Anyways, there are great houses for rent on craigs list and still in our price range (not $2600/month).
12. i got new glasses (i don't know if i wrote that in a previous post) but i should get them tomorrow and i cant wait!!!!! (purple and rectangular)(picture coming soon).
13. i am hanging out with my friend Erin tomorrow. She actually went on the same backpacking trip to CO as i did when i was a soph in HS with Dwight Mission. She's from Sallisaw. But anyways we have mutual friends here, and recognized each other but couldnt place it... and what do ya know... soooo weird!!!!!!!!!!
14. Sus is doing a craft show thingy, and hopefully she will post all of her amazing creations!!!!
15. sus needs to give me some of those creations.
16. i think i will do crafts tonight and tomorrow, since i am done with taxes... SUCKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS :)

FRIDAY

Friday morning we woke up and met grandpa at the mall.

Every year he takes us shopping for birthday/christmas (oct 27/nov 13/christmas).

We get to pratty much go crazy and get whatever, and maybe we are spoiled,

but we have the time of our life...

in addition to getting to spend alone time with grandpa.

Sus and g-pa picked some trendy cute stuff out for me that i would never pick

out and it was cute!

Then we went to eat at Irma's burger shack!!!

Then grandpa is building a new house for himself, and we got to see

how it was coming along!

I guess sophie had sus's cell phone and was eating the keys. but before she gave her the phone, she locked the keys and said: "sophie.... don't call 9-1-1"

Then sus got a call on her cell "this is the okc police and we just got a call from this number...."

Holy cow! Sophie, you're grounded!

Then we went to Lauren and Brad's house for dinner!

Gram was there for a bit. Lo is so prego, she's so cute!!!

Then I finally got to meet the infamous katie and ryan!!! I blog stalk them!

We stayed up til 1am talking, then we were too pooped, and had to go home!

sophie lynn rabus is 6 mo old!

We arrived in oklahoma at midnight on wednesday. We got a rental car (pretty much a minivan...boo) and drove to blake's (cameron's bro) old house. He was moving the next day into his first home!!!! On thursday monring we ate Donut King (my fav donuts ever). Then Susanne, Sophie, and Sus came to Blake's and we (just the girls) went to Genesis's house to eat with her and Josiah and the fetus! Gen was craving this little diner's food in Newcastle, and boy was it good! Genesis was about to pop and is due June 20th!!! Josiah was super cute and was just playing and playing and talking and talking. He kept talking about his "monies" which were some pennies Gen had given him. He thought he was rich! Sophie was being so good too. She rolled over for us and laughed so much. Her laugh makes me want a baby... but don't worry, not yet.

This is at Laura and Andy's house that Thursday night with Yoda. They took us to Louie's for dinner on the lake. We had fried green beans and they were good. See Laura's post about them re-doing their house... it was crazy how handy they are getting! Yoda is 1 now!
