snow snow snow!!!!

I woke up to the snow! The weather man said it was snowing at about 2 inches an hour!!!

It has slowed down, but is still snowing!!!

Cameron took the jeep this morn, but was able to drive the Honda safely to internship.

The lightrail & a train derailed, but everyone was okay.

Here are the recipes for the doggie treats for Leslie:

Soft Doggie Cookies

3 (2.5oz each) jars of baby food (beef, chicken, lamb...)

1/4 cup dry milk powder

1/4 cup wheat germ or cream of wheat

Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well. roll into small balls and place on well greased cookie sheet (mine didnt roll into balls... i just used a spoon and dropped them on). Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 15 min until brown. cool on wire rack. refrigerate to keep fresh or freeze. Schnooze loved these!

Pumpkin Dog Treats

1 15oz can mashed pure pumpkin (not the spiced filling)
3/4 cup of cream of wheat (or rice cereal if wheat sensitive)

you can mix this dry, no need to cook first

1/2 cup dry powdered milk

Directions: preheat oven to 300F

Mix all ingred together. drop small spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 300F for 15-20 min. If you'd like to make bite size cookies for small dogs, training rewards ot just small treats, use a pastry bag and squeeze out rosettes about the size of a dime for tasty bite sized cookies. Schnooze also loved these :). (i wonder if you do baby food carrots instead of pumpkins if it would work... b/c she loves carrots ???)

Cold as Crap!!!!

I didn't take any pics, but friday-sunday it snowed and we got about 4 inches or so.

Thank goodness the mountains got some, or nobody would ever get to ski.

So: apparently it's crazy iced over in Okla and most people didn't have school!

Sus said some people didn't have power :(.

Today I : mailed Lane & Jess's Present!

took the recycling to the 'brary

went to the bank

got some more kombucha tea that i am obsessed with, sus told me it gets addicting

went to the grocery (brought my own paper sacks too) and got lots of good stuff

made 2 kinds of doggie treats for my baby (she likes them) (one kind required 3 jars of chicken baby food,

and the other kind req 1 can of pumpkin???)

made 2 kinds of cookies (choc no bake & oatmeal/walnut/cran-orange)

finished jenny mcarthy's book on her son with autism (it's good read it!)

am gonna make dinner for cam (he's in his finals week!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I feel like a hippy dippy now, and I think it's b/c i have to try and convince all my friends they should recycle. and also since reading that jenny mcarthy book, i dont want my kids to get vaccines. and b/c i though about it and lauren taught me, i now want to use cloth diapers. and my friend kimiko used cloth wipes, so i wanna do that too, b/c it makes more sense (just get some kinda cloth don't know what kind... and put it in a tupperware with soap, water, and baby oil or something like that and then throw then in the same bin you throw your cloth diapers into....wash them the same). But i am going all organic and wanting to just be so green. and i know it's not a bad thing, but i just never thought i would be so darn hippish. For goodness sakes... it's my sister that's the hippy. (no offence sus)

1. I have sent all my christmas gifts out besides one
2. all the presents are wrapped and under the tree
3. i got my hair cut today and it's cute
4. i spent some bday money at whole foods and got:
-alba skin care items
-choc. truffles
- cinn/sugar chips with sweet sip
- a free 5 min massage
- kambucha tea: guava (best kind so far)
- tomato basil soup that was so good
- cameron's fav grind in the store honey nut peanut butter (for him)
5. I spent more bday money at bbw:
- hand soap for bathroom
- foot and hand cream (hardcore softening)
6. and some more getting 2 candles at yankee candle store
7. i finished knitting a scarf in cute yarn
8. i am obsessed with america's next top model
9. tonight is a new House
10. at whole foods i saw the diapers Lo was talking about that have an outer part, and there is a special inner part you can flush/toss/put in compost... and it only takes 50-150 days to decompose (plastic diapers take at least 500 years.... boo): it was $24 for the starter pack of 2 diapers and 5-10 liners... and the 40 pack liner set was $15... not bad for less poo clean up)
Makes me wanna use those?!?!??!?!?

12. I am getting a dove holding an olive branch tattood on my left foot the 15th!!! My friend Shellie is coming and she designed a cross for her inner arm!

We get a new ornament every year. We decided it was going to be a tradition, b/c not only do we not have any ornaments, but we wanted something special.

Year 1: wedding couple (even though we were just engaged), I thought it was appropriate
Year 2: Mini Schnauzer
Year 3: A snowshoeing outfit: snowshoes (old wooden style) jacket and hat (maybe gloves
too but i can't remember) but it's super cute!!!!!!

I write the year on the bottom of the ornament..... hopefully we'll have 75 to pass down to our kids someday :)



PSS: i used my pedicure gift cert. today at the Aveda Salon and Spa in Hotel Monaco off 17th and Champa in downtown Denver.... super fancy, super nice, super relaxing!!!! BUT i had to park like 4 blocks away, and i wore my uggs there b/c the wind chill is in the teens.... so on the way back i had to wear those stupid throw away flip flops... and not only were my feet cold, the dang things wouldn't stay on, and my feet were losing all their pretty cleanliness/softness/ relaxation...... anyway, once i was in the car, i was okay. but geesh.


My work has a gym downstairs, but you have to pay for it, but they have students of a massage school there all the time to get their hours in. Anyway, a 60 min massage is $23!!!!!!!! So instead of a $125 massage from Aveda, I am gonna kick it with a $23 massage... I've had one, and they're not too shabby!

Ben is 10 days old, but Lo has only put up to Day 4 of life.... it's crazy b/c I feel a need to see him :)

On another note, I have been out of service for several days. Here is a list!

1. baby ben was born monday

2. finished christmas shopping -1 stocking stuffer monday

3. started wrapping presents monday

4. moved the bike rack and bikes from the bedroom into the office

5. tuesday ate lunch with friend Erin saw her pics from a medical mission trip to peru

6. watched a movie Glory Days about bball and got excited for college bball

7. wed worked from 3a-3p, crazy hectic day, went to bathroom once, barely ate lunch, intubated my patient early in the morning

8. came home to chinese food and a foot rub from my wonderufl hubby

9. thursday worked all day, much better day, only had 1 patient, ate lots of food at work

10. thursday came home from work and went straight to brian and odette's house for thanksgiving with about 20 other people, it was great food and company (all other people who had nowhere else to go b/c they couldn't make it home)

11. forgot to say, wed morning it snowed! and was super cold!

12. friday worked all day while it snowed, had an easy day again

13. friday nigth rented evan almighty, fell asleep at 7pm, slept wil 8:30am next morning

14. saturday ran errands with cameron and cleaned house from top to bottom

15. saturday sorry to say, but ben/axle watched his first game of beloved OSU football suck it up to the Sooners! sorry lo and brad, you jsut always give the sooners a hard time :)

16. saturday night we went to dinner at matt & emily's house for Goose and all the regular thanksgiving sides, but all fancy-like! good company and great food

17. today i had to watch the last 8 min of gray's b/c friday afternoon the website was messing up, updated the blog, and then we are headed to church in the cold cold weather. then i will come home and re-arrange the office, b/c now there is a couple bikes and no chair, and a bookshelf of games.... where does it all go? then i will wrap some more and watch some movies from netflix!

18. congrats to lauren and brad, they are awesome troopers that i am envious of! I can't believe ben is really here and REAL :)

Happy 23rd birthday Sus/82nd Birthday Gram!

Sus is going to lunch (with gram, dad, and chris) and then a concert to celebrate!

So, I went to oklahoma this past friday-monday!

The minute i got to my gate at DIA, i see 3 small cute birds, just hanging out!

They were so cute, but camera shy!

Then Sus (sister) meets me at the a/p, and we go to meet sus (friend) at chili's!
